Does IFTTT actually generate clips or summaries from my video?
No. The transcript Applet in Step 1 pairs with AssemblyAI to turn a recording into searchable text, quotes, and timestamps you can pull from. Actually cutting a clip or writing a summary from that transcript still takes you or a separate AI writing tool, IFTTT's job is capturing the raw material and getting it into a workflow you can act on.
What counts as a content pillar in this pipeline?
Your original long-form piece, whether that's a blog post, podcast episode, or livestream. Everything else in this pipeline (the native cross-posts, the tracking rows, the newsletter draft) is built from that one pillar rather than being separate content you have to come up with.
Do I need all three layers (capture, distribute, assemble)?
No. Each layer solves a different bottleneck. If you already have a transcript workflow, skip to Step 2. If distribution is handled but nothing gets collected into a shareable roundup, start with the assembly step instead.
Why does 'native' distribution matter instead of just cross-posting the same caption everywhere?
Duplicate content across platforms tends to get deprioritized by each platform's own algorithm, and it reads as low-effort to your audience. What if I don't use Ghost or WordPress for my blog?
