How this automation works
Control your Alexa device, save a log, and trigger an online action with one tap. This Applet runs when you press the Button widget and performs the Alexa action, creates a text file in Dropbox, and makes a web request. Perfect for automating shutdown routines or other connected tasks across Alexa, Dropbox, and Webhooks. Note: Install the IFTTT app and add the Button widget to your home screen. This requires a reachable webhook endpoint (URL).
